Can you tell me about the music of Money Mark Bo and Jabo and how this pairing came to be?
OK I’m going to try to keep this short, We started out as 8 members in 2012 in within the first year things started to fall apart. So everyone went their own way which only left 2 remaining. They have been working together since 2012.
What is the message you would like people to take away from your music?
We would like to say that our music is to let people know never to give up on your dream. Keep pushing, never give up on what you believe in. That’s something that we can all relate too.
What are your thoughts on the current state of the game?
I have to say I’m very new to the music game only been doing this since 2012. What I learn with the current state of the game is much easier to get your music heard without having a label, thanks to internet radio and bloggers, there are tons of resources that helps independent artists and the label.
You created your own music label, Mind Stimulation Entertainment. Why did you want create your own indie label?
It didn’t started out like I wanted to create my own label. I started out as a manager. Then I met a few people in the game, began to ask questions and came to find out that I was doing everything that a label would do for their artists. And that how I started my own label.
What are the major challenges of having your own label and trying to pursue your music career?
To find artists that serious about their craft.
Who are your musical influences?
I have so many but just to name a few; Whitney Houston, Pattie LaBelle, Alicia Keys, Dre, and Young Money.
