Funny Or Die Presents Donald Trump’s The Art Of The Deal: The Movie

in Lifestyle

Don’t be a loser. Watch this rediscovered 1988 masterpiece starring Johnny Depp as Donald Trump!

Once again Johnny Depp is the master of disguise in this nearly hour long mini-movie from Adam McKay’s online comedy channel Funny Or Die. The Art of the Deal (which Funny or Die says is “The New Film (Not) Based on the #1 National Bestselling Book by Donald Trump”) is directed by Jeremy Konner and written by Joe Randazzo.

The faux backstory: In 1988, Trump wrote, directed and starred in a made-for-TV movie based on his (real) bestselling book The Art of the Deal. But the film never aired because due to a Monday Night Football game and Trump furiously refused to release it.

The movie includes an intro from director Ron Howard and also features Patton Oswalt as Merv Griffin, Jack McBrayer as Der Scutt (Trump’s architect), Alfred Molina as Jerry Schrager, Henry Winkler as New York City Mayor Ed Koch, and Casual’s Michaela Watkins as Ivana Trump. It also features Room’s Jacob Tremblay, Andy Richter, Stephen Merchant and even iconic ’80s star ALF! Country crooner Kenny Loggins sings “The Art of the Deal” theme song.
