“The Giver” Film Soundtrack

in Lifestyle

Movie soundtrack albums have made something of a comeback over the past couple of years, mainly thanks to movie adaptations of young adult novels like Twilight,  Divergent and The Fault In Our Stars and a little animated feature called Frozen.

The film adaptation of Lois Lowry’s iconic dystopian novel "The Giver" arrives August 15th, but to tide you over till then is the film’s soundtrack (now available). The film is about a seemingly perfect community, without war, pain, suffering, differences or choice where a young boy is chosen to learn from an elderly man about the true pain and pleasure of the “real” world.

Among the many fans of the book awaiting the release on the big screen is OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, whose band penned a song for the movie’s soundtrack called “Ordinary Human,”  a song about not fitting in.
