Released on March 30th, 1987 in the UK and the 31st in the US, Sign ‘O’ The Times is the ninth full-length studio album produced, arranged and composed by Prince. 30 years later, Sign ‘O’ The Times impact is still intact. Containing themes that are still relevant today, the 16 track masterpiece was recorded between 1986 and 1987 during sessions for three full-lengths that never materialized.
On November 19th, 1996 Prince released his 19th full-length studio album that marked his courageous movement towards artistic freedom. Emancipation was the third album Prince released using his symbol instead of his name; the first two being the albums Love Symbol and Chaos & Disorder. Prince explained that he had changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol to emancipate himself from his contract with Warner Bros, feeling his own name now belonged to the company.
A classically trained musician, indie artist Elizabeth Anne Mall [EAM] grew up in Kansas and learned to play piano at twelve years old. Her latest album “Belle Laide” is taken from a French term used to describe unconventional beauty.
EAM says, “To me, it fits so well because this album was born from both beautiful and difficult personal experiences.”
Drawing from pop, classical, and electronic influences, “Belle Laide” creates a unique musical experience.

Sometime Last Night is the sophomore sophisticated release from LA band consisting of siblings Riker, Rocky, Rydel, Ross Lynch and family friend Ellington Ratliff – R5. I thought I knew a lot about music and who all the cool bands were, but I had never heard of R5 before I saw Riker Lynch competing (and ultimately making it to the final two) on this season’s Dancing with the Stars.
Montreal R&B experimenter Alex Fleming has just delivered Jade, the debut album from his hotly tipped Black Atlass project. Following a pair of EPs, Jade marks the first proper full-length from Black Atlass. The album comprises 10 songs, all of which were written, composed and performed by Fleming alone. Alex offered the following statement about the project:
