Influenced by the nature-rich resources of his Canadian hometown of Calgary, Billy Mustapha has a passion for storytelling in the wild through movement. Using nature and fluid choreography, he creates a poetic fusion. Commanding his body and his mind, he connects emotionally to nature through dance. Through our in-depth conversation we gain insight into Billy's love of nature, how we can all reconnect with Mother Earth, pursuing dance as a first-generation immigrant and finding freedom in a time of isolation.

Hip hop dancer Randall Mella breaks barriers

Randall Mella is a hip hop dancer and choreographer from Edmonton, Alberta. He has competed in world-class competitions such as Hip Hop International, Artists Emerge and World of Dance. Randall has danced on set for the Netflix series Julie and the Phantoms and performed alongside Lia Cole for multiple music videos and live shows including a tour in Asia. His dance crew, Cool Giraffes, have made their mark on the hip hop competition scene finishing in first place at Hip Hop International Canada 2019 and in the top ten at Hip Hop International 2018.

Keeping her edge: In London with Candian-born dancer Allie Laliberte

Allie Laliberte (23) is a Canadian hip hop dancer originally from a small town in Ontario, Canada. Currently Allie is working and teaching in London, England and is a member of LA based Immabeast, one of the most well-known dance companies in the world. Allie has performed with Little Mix at the Brit Awards, Bebe Rexha at the European Music Awards, Rita Ora on Britain’s Got Talent and Kaela Settle (The Greatest Showman) on the X Factor UK.

World of Dance Canadian duo Luka & Jenalyn breakaway from cabaret ballroom

Luka Milacic-Perusina and Jenalyn Saraza-Pacheco, popularly known as Luka & Jenalyn, are cabaret ballroom dancers from Toronto, Canada. The dynamic duo have mesmerized audiences with their unique and innovative spin on cabaret; a combination of ballroom dancing, cabaret, cirque and theatre arts.

“Being dancers is our passion and our dream,” says the duo. “We are so happy to be able to live it out. We cannot imagine doing anything other than dancing as our profession. We live and breathe dance.”

Luka & Jenalyn are currently Vice Champions and the youngest ever three time professional cabaret ballroom finalists in the history of the prestigious Blackpool Dance Festival in England, the first & oldest ballroom dance competition in the world.
